REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT LH
REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE
REMOVE TRANSAXLE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY
Transaxle Oil Pan -- Removal |
1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER |
Remove the 6 screws, 10 clips and under cover.
2. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH |
Remove the 2 clips and under cover.
3. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT LH |
Remove the 4 bolts and reinforcement.
4. REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE |
Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.
Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube from the oil pan and drain the continuously variable transaxle fluid.

5. REMOVE TRANSAXLE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 19 bolts and oil pan from the transaxle.
- NOTICE:
- Some fluid will remain in the oil pan. To prevent the fluid from spilling, place a container under the oil pan, and then carefully remove all the pan bolts and oil pan assembly.
Remove the gasket from the oil pan.
Remove the 3 magnets from the oil pan.

- Clean the oil pan and remove any metal particles, sludge, etc.
- Clean off any metal particles that adhere to the magnets.
