REMOVE REPAIR SERVICE STARTER KIT
REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY
REMOVE STARTER COMMUTATOR END FRAME ASSEMBLY
REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE PLATE
REMOVE STARTER COMMUTATOR END FRAME COVER
REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY
REMOVE PLANET GEAR
REMOVE STARTER CENTER BEARING CLUTCH SUB-ASSEMBLY
Starter (For 1.3 Kw Type) -- Disassembly |
| 1. REMOVE REPAIR SERVICE STARTER KIT |
Remove the nut and disconnect the lead wire from terminal C.
Remove the 2 screws and repair service starter kit from the drive housing.
Remove the return spring and plunger from the repair service starter kit.
| 2. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 through bolts and pull out the starter yoke together with the commutator end frame.
| 3. REMOVE STARTER COMMUTATOR END FRAME ASSEMBLY |
Remove the commutator end frame from the starter yoke.
| 4. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE PLATE |
Remove the armature plate from the starter yoke.
| 5. REMOVE STARTER COMMUTATOR END FRAME COVER |
Using a screwdriver, remove the commutator end frame cover from the commutator end frame.
| 6. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY |
Mount the commutator end frame in a vise between aluminum plates.
- NOTICE:
- Do not damage the commutator end frame.
Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring and plate washer.
- NOTICE:
- Do not drop the starter armature.
Remove the starter armature from the commutator end frame.
Remove the 3 planet gears from the center bearing clutch.
| 8. REMOVE STARTER CENTER BEARING CLUTCH SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the center bearing clutch together with the drive lever set pin from the drive housing.
Remove the drive lever set pin from the center bearing clutch.
