DESCRIPTION

DTC B2287 is stored when the LIN communication circuit between the main body ECU and certification ECU is abnormal. DTC B2289 is stored when there is a malfunction in the immobiliser system.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - CERTIFICATION ECU)


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35.3Zr-Fae Starting.Starting System (W/ Entry And Start System). Dtc B2287 Lin Communication Master Malfunction

  1. Disconnect the ID instrument panel junction block connector.

  1. Disconnect the E63 certification ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    ID-9 (LIN1) - E63-10 (LIN)
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    ID-9 (LIN1) or E63-10 (LIN) - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher


NG
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK


2.CHECK CERTIFICATION ECU

  1. Temporarily replace the ECU aggregation box (certification ECU) with a new one.

    NOTICE:
    When replacing the certification ECU, registration procedures must be performed. Refer to Service Bulletin.

  1. Check for DTCs again.

    OK:
    No DTC is output.
