READ DATA LIST |
- HINT:
- Using the intelligent tester's Data List allows switch, sensor, actuator and other item values to be read without removing any parts. Reading the Data List early in troubleshooting is one way to save time.
- NOTICE:
- In the table below, the values listed under Normal Condition are for reference only. Do not depend solely on these values when determining whether or not a part is faulty.
Turn the engine switch off.
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the tester ON.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST |
- HINT:
- Performing the Active Test enables components including the relays, VSV (Vacuum Switching Valve), and actuators, to be operated without removing any parts. The Active Test can be performed with an intelligent tester. Performing the Active Test as the first step of troubleshooting is one method of shortening diagnostic time. The Data List can be displayed during the Active Test.
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the tester ON.
Select the following menu items: Body / (desired system) / Active Test.
Perform the Active Test by referring to the table below.
