Front Door -- Adjustment |

- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
- Centering bolts are used to mount the door hinge to the vehicle body and door. The door cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts installed on it. Substitute the centering bolts with standard bolts when making adjustments.
- The specified torque for standard bolts is shown in the standard bolt chart (LandCruiser RM00000118W0G8X.html).
1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR |
for 5 Door:
Check that the clearance measurements of areas A through P are within the standard range.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (LandCruiser RM000003YMD00TX.html).
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).
3. ADJUST FRONT DOOR |
Using SST, loosen the hinge bolts on the vehicle body and adjust the door position.

Tighten the hinge bolts on the vehicle body.
- Torque:
- 26 N*m{265 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf}
Loosen the hinge bolts on the door and adjust the door position.
Tighten the hinge bolts on the door.
- Torque:
- 26 N*m{265 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf}
Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, slightly loosen the striker mounting screws.

Using a brass bar and hammer, hit the striker to adjust its position.
Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the striker mounting screws.
- Torque:
- 23 N*m{235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf}
4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).
5. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT |
Check the SRS warning light (LandCruiser RM000000XFD0N3X.html).
