Rear Airbag Sensor (For 3 Door) Installation


  1. INSTALL REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH

  2. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

  3. INSTALL OUTER LAP BELT COVER

  4. INSTALL FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER (w/ Tonneau Cover)

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP (w/o Tonneau Cover)

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

  7. INSTALL REAR FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY

  8. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM COVER HOLE LH

  9. INSTALL REAR FLOOR MAT REAR SUPPORT PLATE

  10. INSTALL MAT SET PLATE COVER

  11. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)

  12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  13. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH

  14. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY

  15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  16. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

Rear Airbag Sensor (For 3 Door) -- Installation


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


1. INSTALL REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH

  1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

  1. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    CAUTION:
    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  1. Install the rear airbag sensor with the nut.

    Torque:
    9.0 N*m{92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf}
    NOTICE:
    1. If the rear airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.
    2. When installing the rear airbag sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

  1. Check that the rear airbag sensor is not loose.

  1. Connect the connector.



2. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Attach the 9 claws and 11 clips to install the deck trim side panel.

  1. Install the 3 bolts and 2 screws.

  1. Install the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

    Torque:
    42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}

  1. Install the front seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

    Torque:
    42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}


3. INSTALL OUTER LAP BELT COVER
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the other outer lap belt anchor cover.

  1. Attach the 3 claws to install the outer lap belt anchor cover.



4. INSTALL FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER (w/ Tonneau Cover)
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the other front deck side trim cover.

  1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front deck side trim cover.



5. INSTALL NO. 1 TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP (w/o Tonneau Cover)
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the other tonneau cover holder cap.

  1. Attach the 2 claws to install the tonneau cover holder cap.



6. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the other No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook.

  1. Install the No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook so that it is positioned horizontally.



7. INSTALL REAR FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the rear floor carpet.



8. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM COVER HOLE LH

  1. Attach the 2 claws and 2 guides to install the quarter trim cover hole.



9. INSTALL REAR FLOOR MAT REAR SUPPORT PLATE

  1. Attach the 6 claws to install the rear floor mat rear support plate.

  1. Install the 5 screws.



10. INSTALL MAT SET PLATE COVER
HINT:
Use the same procedure for all mat set plate covers.

  1. Attach the 2 claws to install the mat set plate cover.



11. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)

  1. Install the tonneau cover.



12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  1. Align the paint mark on the front door opening trim weatherstrip with the mark position on the vehicle and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

13. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Attach the 4 clips, 10 claws and 2 guides to install the door scuff plate.



14. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY

  1. for 60/40 Split Double-folding Seat Type LH Side:

    1. Install the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM00000468N00TX.html).

  1. for 60/40 Split Double-folding Seat Type RH Side:

    1. Install the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM00000468S00WX.html).

  1. for 60/40 Split Tumble Seat Type LH Side:

    1. Install the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM0000046ZI006X.html).

  1. for 60/40 Split Tumble Seat Type RH Side:

    1. Install the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM0000046ZL006X.html).

  1. for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type LH Side:

    1. Install the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM00000468800TX.html).

  1. for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type RH Side:

    1. Install the rear No. 1 seat assembly (LandCruiser RM00000468D00QX.html).



15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).


16. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

  1. Check the SRS warning light (LandCruiser RM000000XFD0N3X.html).
