Heated Steering Wheel Controller -- Installation |
1. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY |
Install the steering wheel heater control assembly with the 2 screws.
Connect the 2 connectors and connector clamp.
2. INSTALL STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY |
Check that the ignition switch is off.
Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Support the steering pad with one hand.

Connect the 2 connectors to the steering pad.
- NOTICE:
- When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Connect the horn connector.
Confirm that the groove along the circumference of the "TORX" screw is attached to the screw case and place the steering pad onto the steering wheel.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 screws.
- Torque:
- 8.8 N*m{90 kgf*cm, 78 in.*lbf}
3. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL LOWER COVER |
Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.

Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).
6. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT |
