Vane Pump (For 1Gd-Ftv) Installation


  1. INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

  2. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

  3. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

  4. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  5. INSTALL INTERCOOLER AIR HOSE

  6. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID

  7. BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID

  8. INSPECT POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

Vane Pump (For 1Gd-Ftv) -- Installation



1. INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the 2 bolts and vane pump assembly.

  1. Connect the connector to the vane pump assembly.



2. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

  1. Install a new gasket to the pressure feed tube assembly.

    Torque:
    50 N*m{510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf}

  1. Connect the connector to the vane pump assembly.



3. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

  1. Connect the No. 1 oil reservoir to pump hose to the vane pump assembly and slide the hose clip.



4. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  1. Rotate the pulley of the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly clockwise, and then install the fan and generator V belt.

    NOTICE:
    Make sure that the fan and generator V belt is set properly on each pulley.
    HINT:
    When installing the fan and generator V belt, attach the fan and generator V belt to the No. 1 idler pulley sub-assembly last.


5. INSTALL INTERCOOLER AIR HOSE

  1. Install the No. 2 intercooler air hose and tighten the 2 hose clamps.

    Torque:
    5.0 N*m{51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}

  1. Connect the oil return hose and slide the 2 clips to secure the hose.



6. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID


7. BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID

8. INSPECT POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK


9. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the No. 1 engine under cover with the 4 bolts.

    Torque:
    29 N*m{296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf}
