Rear Coil Spring (W/O Air Suspension) Removal


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LOWER BRACKET (w/ KDSS)

  3. DISCONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH

  4. DISCONNECT REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE

  5. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING LH

  6. REMOVE HOLLOW SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door)

Rear Coil Spring (W/O Air Suspension) -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL


2. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LOWER BRACKET (w/ KDSS)

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 rear stabilizer lower brackets.



3. DISCONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Support the rear axle housing.

  1. Remove the bolt on the lower side of the shock absorber.

  1. Disconnect the shock absorber from the axle housing.



4. DISCONNECT REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE

  1. Disconnect each brake tube from the rear flexible hose with a union nut wrench while holding the rear flexible hose with a wrench.

  1. Remove the 2 clips.

  1. Remove the rear flexible hose.



    Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155

  1. Disconnect each brake tube from the rear flexible hose with a union nut wrench while holding the rear flexible hose with a wrench.

  1. Remove the 2 clips.

  1. Remove the rear flexible hose.



5. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING LH

  1. While lowering the axle housing, remove the coil spring.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to snap the brake line and parking brake cable.


6. REMOVE HOLLOW SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door)

  1. Remove the hollow spring from the frame.
