Front Acceleration Sensor -- Inspection |
1. INSPECT FRONT ACCELERATION SENSOR |
Connect 3 dry batteries of 1.5 V in series.
![]() |
Connect the positive (+) end of the batteries to terminal 3 (SBR) of the acceleration sensor and the negative (-) end of the batteries to terminal 2 (SGR). Then measure the voltage between terminal 1 (SGFR) and terminal 2 (SGR).
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Voltage:
Tester Connection Sensor Condition Specified Condition 1 (SGFR) - 2 (SGR) Sensor stationary Approx. 2.0 to 2.5 V Sensor tilted Changes between approx. 0.9 and 2.3 V

(Front Acceleration Sensor)Top Bottom - HINT:
- When the front acceleration sensor is tilted, it may output a different value.
- NOTICE:
- Do not apply higher than 6 V.
- Do not drop the front acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
- Never place the front acceleration sensor upside down.
