Rear Differential Carrier Assembly (W/ Differential Lock) Removal


  1. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT LH

  2. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT RH

  3. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER GASKET

Rear Differential Carrier Assembly (W/ Differential Lock) -- Removal



1. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT LH

  1. Remove the rear axle shaft LH (LandCruiser RM0000016XE018X.html).



2. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.


3. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the propeller shaft assembly (LandCruiser RM0000029WP00TX.html).



4. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY


Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155

  1. Remove the 11 nuts, 11 washers and differential carrier.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to damage the contact surface.

  1. Disconnect the rear differential lock actuator breather hose from the differential actuator assembly.

  1. Disconnect the differential lock actuator connector.



5. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER GASKET
