Starter (For 2.7 Kw Type) -- Disassembly |
| 1. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the nut and disconnect the lead wire from terminal C.

Remove the 2 through bolts.
Pull out the starter yoke with the armature.
Remove the felt washer from the starter armature.
| 2. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 3 screws and magnet starter switch.

Remove the return spring, pinion gear, idler gear, clutch roller, retainer and starter clutch from the starter housing.

Using a magnet hand, remove the steel ball from the starter clutch.

| 3. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 screws and commutator end frame from the starter yoke.
 |
Disconnect the 4 starter yoke brushes from the brush holder.
Using a screwdriver, pull back the spring.
Disconnect the brush from the brush holder.
 |
Remove the brush holder from the starter armature.
| 4. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the starter armature from the starter yoke.
