Oil Pressure Switch Installation


  1. INSTALL ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  2. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK

  3. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER LOWER

Oil Pressure Switch -- Installation



1. INSTALL ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY
  1. Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

    Adhesive:
    TOYOTA Genuine Adhesive 1344, Three Bond 1344 or equivalent
    NOTICE:
    Do not let adhesive adhere to the oil hole.
  1. Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, install the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

    Torque:
    15 N*m{153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf}
    NOTICE:
    Do not start the engine within 1 hour of installation.
  1. Connect the engine oil pressure switch assembly connector.



2. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
  1. Start the engine. Make sure that there are no oil leaks from the areas that were worked on.



3. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL
  1. Warm up the engine, stop the engine and wait 5 minutes.

  1. Check that the oil level is between the dipstick low level mark and full level mark.
    If the level is low, check for leakage and add oil up to the full level mark.

    NOTICE:
    Do not fill engine oil above the full level mark.


4. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155
  1. Hook the No. 1 engine under cover sub-assembly to the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

  1. Install the 4 bolts.

    Torque:
    29 N*m{296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf}


5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER LOWER
  1. Install the front bumper cover lower with the 5 bolts and clip.

    Torque:
    8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
