Intake Manifold Removal


  1. PRECAUTION

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH

  4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FENDER APRON TO FRAME SEAL LH

  5. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH FUEL INJECTOR

  8. REMOVE PURGE VSV

  9. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

Intake Manifold -- Removal



1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (LandCruiser RM000003YMD00TX.html).


2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).


3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH

  1. Remove the 5 clips and front fender apron seal LH.



4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FENDER APRON TO FRAME SEAL LH

  1. Remove the 5 clips and front No. 1 fender apron to frame seal LH.



5. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY
  1. for 1.4 kW Type: (LandCruiser RM000003REY00NX.html)
  2. for 2.0 kW Type: (LandCruiser RM00000179M00VX.html)


6. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY
(LandCruiser RM000000VWO038X.html)


7. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH FUEL INJECTOR
(LandCruiser RM000000Q480CIX.html)


8. REMOVE PURGE VSV

  1. Disconnect the purge VSV connector.

  1. Disconnect the 2 purge line hoses from the purge VSV.

  1. Remove the bolt and purge VSV.



9. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

  1. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps from the 2 wire harness clamp brackets.

  1. Detach the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the intake manifold.

  1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

  1. Remove the 2 No. 2 intake manifold insulators from the intake manifold.

  1. Remove the 5 bolts, 2 nuts and intake manifold.

  1. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

  1. Remove the intake manifold insulator from the intake manifold.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 wire harness clamp brackets from the intake manifold.

  1. Slide the clip and remove the purge line hose from the intake manifold.
