Urea Tank Installation

Install the No. 2 urea tank bracket to the urea tank sub-assembly with the bolt.

Torque:

14 N*m{146 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf}

Install the No. 1 urea tank bracket to the urea tank sub-assembly with the bolt.

Torque:

14 N*m{146 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf}

Install a new gasket to the urea tank sub-assembly.

Install the urea pump to the urea tank sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

Put the urea pump gauge retainer to the urea tank sub-assembly. While holding the urea pump, tighten the urea pump gauge retainer one complete turn by hand.

Set SST on the urea pump gauge retainer.

HINT:

1. Engage the claws of SST securely with the urea pump gauge retainer holes to secure SST.
   
2. Install SST while pressing the claws of SST against the urea pump gauge retainer (towards the center of SST).
   

Using SST, tighten the urea pump gauge retainer is within range A on the urea tank sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:

Remove any foreign matter around the urea pump before this operation.

HINT:

Fit the tips of SST onto the ribs of the urea pump gauge retainer.

Install the urea tube with heater assembly to the urea pump.

HINT:

If there is any solidified urea solution (white solids) on the connection areas of the urea tube with heater assembly and urea pump, clean the solids off with water. Otherwise, they may prevent the O-ring from sealing properly.

1. Wash the connection area of the urea tube connector with water to remove all solidified urea solution (white solids).
   

2. Wipe off the connection area of the urea pump with water to remove all solidified urea solution (white solids).
   





3. Align the axis of the connector with the axis of the urea pump. Push the urea tube connector into the urea pump until the urea tube connector makes a "click" sound.

4. After connecting the urea pump and the urea tube connector, check that the urea pump and urea tube connector are securely connected by trying to pull them apart.
   

5. Attach the lock claws to the urea tube connector by pushing down on the cover.
   

Connect the urea tube with heater assembly to the hose clamp.

Attach the clamp and install the urea tank filler tube sub-assembly to the urea tank sub-assembly.

HINT:

If there is any solidified urea solution (white solids) on the connection areas of the urea tank filler tube sub-assembly and urea tank sub-assembly, clean the solids off with water. Otherwise, they may prevent the O-ring from sealing properly.

1. Wash the connection area of the urea tank filler tube connector with water to remove all solidified urea solution (white solids).
   

2. Wipe off the connection area of the urea tank sub-assembly with water to remove all solidified urea solution (white solids).
   





3. Align the axis of the connector with the axis of the urea tank sub-assembly. Push the urea tank filler tube connector into the urea tank sub-assembly until the urea tank filler tube connector makes a "click" sound.

4. After connecting the urea tank sub-assembly and the urea tank filler tube connector, check that the urea tank sub-assembly and urea tank filler tube connector are securely connected by trying to pull them apart.
   

Attach the clamp and install the urea tank breather tube sub-assembly to the urea tank sub-assembly.

HINT:

If there is any solidified urea solution (white solids) on the connection areas of the urea tank breather tube sub-assembly and urea tank sub-assembly, clean the solids off with water. Otherwise, they may prevent the O-ring from sealing properly.

1. Wash the connection area of the urea tank breather tube connector with water to remove all solidified urea solution (white solids).
   

2. Wipe off the connection area of the urea tank sub-assembly with water to remove all solidified urea solution (white solids).
   





3. Align the axis of the connector with the axis of the urea tank sub-assembly. Push the urea tank breather tube connector into the urea tank sub-assembly until the urea tank breather tube connector makes a "click" sound.

4. Push down the retainer.
   

5. After connecting the urea tank sub-assembly and the urea tank breather tube connector, check that the urea tank sub-assembly and urea tank breather tube connector are securely connected by trying to pull them apart.
   

Install the urea tank sub-assembly to the frame LH with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

14 N*m{146 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf}

Connect the urea tank breather tube sub-assembly to the urea tank filler pipe assembly.

HINT:

If there is any solidified urea solution (white solids) on the connection areas of the urea tank filler tube sub-assembly and urea tank filler pipe assembly, clean the solids off with water. Otherwise, they may prevent the O-ring from sealing properly.

1. Wash the connection area of the urea tank filler tube connector with water to remove all solidified urea solution (white solids).
   

2. Wipe off the connection area of the urea tank filler pipe assembly with water to remove all solidified urea solution (white solids).
   





3. Align the axis of the connector with the axis of the urea tank filler pipe. Push the urea tank filler tube connector into the urea tank filler pipe assembly until the urea tank filler tube connector makes a "click" sound.

4. After connecting the urea tank filler pipe assembly and the urea tank filler tube connector, check that the urea tank filler pipe assembly and urea tank filler tube connector are securely connected by trying to pull them apart.
   

Connect the urea tank breather tube sub-assembly to the urea tank filler pipe assembly.

If there is any solidified urea solution (white solids) on the connection areas of the urea tank breather tube sub-assembly and urea tank filler pipe assembly, clean the solids off with water. Otherwise, they may prevent the O-ring from sealing properly.

2. Wipe off the connection area of the urea tank filler pipe assembly with water to remove all solidified urea solution (white solids).

4. Push down the retainer.
   

5. After connecting the urea tank filler pipe assembly and the urea tank breather tube connector, check that the urea tank filler pipe assembly and urea tank breather tube connector are securely connected by trying to pull them apart.
   

Attach the 2 clamps and connect the urea tube with heater assembly to the frame crossmember.

Connect the urea tube with heater assembly to the urea injector set (LandCruiser RM000005UKS000X_01_0002.html).

Connect the connector to the urea pump as shown in the illustration.

Attach the clamp to the urea pump.

Connect the connector to the urea tube with heater assembly.

Install the No. 1 front fender apron to frame seal LH to the body with the 5 clips.
