Fuel Injector -- Removal |
| 1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE |
| 2. PRECAUTION |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (LandCruiser RM000003YMD00TX.html).
| 3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (LandCruiser RM000003YMF011X.html).
| 4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY |
| 5. DISCONNECT FUEL HOSE |

Disconnect the fuel hose (LandCruiser RM0000028RU05IX.html).
| 6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 FUEL HOSE |
 |
Slide the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 fuel hose.
| 7. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY |
 |
Remove the 2 bolts and fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly.
Remove the O-ring from the fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly

| 8. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH FUEL INJECTOR |
 |
Disconnect the 4 fuel injector assembly connectors.
Disconnect the purge VSV connector.
Detach the wire harness clamp.
Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness clamp bracket.
Remove the bolt and disconnect the purge VSV.
 |
Remove the 2 bolts and fuel delivery pipe together with the fuel injectors.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to drop the fuel injectors when removing the fuel delivery pipe.
 |
Remove the 2 No. 1 delivery pipe spacers.

Remove the 4 injector vibration insulators.
Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 spacers.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
| 9. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 4 fuel injector assemblies from the fuel delivery pipe.
