Ecd System -- Dtc Check / Clear


NOTICE:
GTS only:
  1. When the diagnosis system is changed from normal mode to check mode, or vice versa, all the DTCs and freeze frame data recorded in normal mode are erased. Before changing modes, always check and make a note of any DTCs and freeze frame data.

CHECK DTC (using the GTS)

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.

  3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

  4. Check the DTC(s) and freeze frame data, and then write them down.

  5. Check the details of the DTCs (LandCruiser RM000000VQT00VX.html).


CLEAR DTCS AND FREEZE FRAME DATA (using the GTS)

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (do not start the engine) and turn the GTS on.

  3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes / Clear.

  4. Erase DTCs and freeze frame data by pressing the YES button on the GTS.


CLEAR DTCS AND FREEZE FRAME DATA (not using the GTS)

  1. Perform either one of the following operations.

    1. Remove the EFI fuse from the engine room relay block and junction block located inside the engine compartment for more than 1 minute.

    2. Disconnect the battery negative cable for more than 1 minute.

      NOTICE:
      1. After reconnecting the battery cable, the radio and clock should be adjusted as they were previously.
      2. When reconnecting the battery cable, perform the INITIALIZE procedure.
