Rear Bumper -- Removal |
| 1. REMOVE QUARTER PANEL REAR MUDGUARD LH |

Remove the 6 screws and mudguard.
| 2. REMOVE QUARTER PANEL REAR MUDGUARD RH |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
| 3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER |
 |
Using a clip remover, remove the 5 clips.
Remove the 6 screws.
Put protective tape under the quarter panel.
 |
Detach the 12 claws and remove the bumper cover.
| 4. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH |
Remove the nut, washer and reflector.
| 5. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH |
Remove the nut, washer and reflector.
| 6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT EXTENSION LOWER |
Remove the bolt and extension.
| 7. REMOVE REAR BACK STEP FRAME |

Remove the 6 bolts and step frame.
| 8. REMOVE REAR BODY MUDGUARD SUPPORT LH |
Using a screwdriver, remove the 3 clips and mudguard support.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
| 9. REMOVE REAR BODY MUDGUARD SUPPORT RH |
Using a screwdriver, remove the 3 clips and mudguard support.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
| 10. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION LH |
Remove the 2 screws.
 |
Using a heat light, heat the extension and vehicle body.
Using a knife, cut the double-sided tape that holds the extension to the vehicle body.
- NOTICE:
- If reusing the extension, take care not to damage the extension.
- Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Detach the 6 clips and remove the extension.
| 11. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION RH |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
| 12. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH |
Remove the 2 screws.
Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the side retainer.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

| 13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
