Radio Receiver Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL KNOB

  3. REMOVE FRE/REC CONTROL KNOB

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY CENTER

  5. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

Radio Receiver -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL KNOB

  1. Remove the 3 control knobs.



3. REMOVE FRE/REC CONTROL KNOB

  1. Remove the control knob.



4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY CENTER

HINT:
To prevent the clips from falling, horizontally pull out the panel. Hold both sides of the panel in the locations indicated by the arrows in the illustration.
  1. Remove the screw <C>.

  1. Detach the 6 claws and 4 clips.

    NOTICE:
    Make sure the center registers are not removed.
  1. Disconnect all connectors and remove the panel.



5. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

  1. Remove the 4 screws.

  1. Disconnect all connectors and remove the radio receiver with bracket.

  1. w/o Stereo opening cover:
    Remove the 4 screws and No. 1 radio bracket from the radio receiver.

  1. w/o Stereo opening cover:
    Remove the 4 screws and No. 2 radio bracket from the radio receiver.
