Rear Combination Light Assembly Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY

Rear Combination Light Assembly -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 bolts.

  1. Detach the 2 clips and disconnect the light.

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the light.



3. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY
  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 16 clips and remove the trim board.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


4. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 2 nuts.

  1. Detach the 3 clips and remove the light.
