Vehicle Stability Control System Slip Indicator Light Does Not Come On

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

CHECK IF SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR IS SECURELY CONNECTED

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU IG1 TERMINAL)

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU GND1 TERMINAL)

INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - VSC OFF SWITCH)

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SLIP INDICATOR LIGHT)

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (Toyota Fortuner RM000000XHR02TX.html).

1. Check if the skid control ECU connector is securely connected.
   

   OK:

   The connector is securely connected.
   

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
   

2. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
   

3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Voltage:

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   S25-34 (IG1) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
   

2. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
   

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   S25-1 (GND1) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
   

2. Remove the VSC OFF switch (Toyota Fortuner RM000001WZ200QX.html).
   

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   3 - 4	Switch is pushed and held	Below 1 Ω
   3 - 4	Switch is not pushed	10 kΩ or higher

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
   

2. Disconnect the VSC OFF switch connector.
   

3. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
   

4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   S25-30 (CSW) - V5-3	Always	Below 1 Ω
   S25-30 (CSW) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   V5-4 - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

1. Perform the Active Test of the skid control ECU using the intelligent tester (Toyota Fortuner RM000000XHW080X.html).
   

2. Check the Data List.
   

   OK:

   "Slip Indicator Light" in the Data List changes between ON and OFF when the ON/OFF operation of "Slip Indicator Light" in the Active Test is performed.
