Generator Disassembly


  1. REMOVE GENERATOR PULLEY

  2. REMOVE GENERATOR REAR END COVER

  3. REMOVE GENERATOR BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE GENERATOR COIL ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE GENERATOR ROTOR ASSEMBLY

Generator -- Disassembly



1. REMOVE GENERATOR PULLEY

  1. Mount the generator in a vise between aluminum plate.

    SST
    09820-63021

  1. Install SST (A) and (B) to the pulley as shown in the illustration.

  1. Use a wrench to hold SST (A) and turn SST (B) counterclockwise to loosen the generator pulley.

  1. Remove the pulley.



2. REMOVE GENERATOR REAR END COVER

  1. Remove the 3 nuts and end cover.

  1. Remove the terminal insulator.



3. REMOVE GENERATOR BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 screws and brush holder.



4. REMOVE GENERATOR COIL ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 4 bolts.

  1. Using SST, remove the coil. assembly.

  1. Remove the generator washer.



5. REMOVE GENERATOR ROTOR ASSEMBLY
