1. INSPECT FUEL PUMP |
Inspect the resistance of the fuel pump.
Measure the resistance between the terminals.
- Standard resistance:
- 0.2 to 3.0 Ω at 20°C (68°F)

Inspect the operation of the fuel pump.
Connect the positive (+) lead of the battery to terminal 1 of the connector, and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2. Check that the fuel pump operates.
If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump.- NOTICE:
- These tests must be performed within 10 seconds to prevent the coil from burning out.
- Keep the fuel pump as far away from the battery as possible.
- Always turn the voltage on and off on the battery side, not the fuel pump side.
