CHECK MIL (ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR)
CHECK MIL (VARIABLE RESISTOR)
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BODY GROUND)

DESCRIPTION
The VC voltage (5 V) is generated in the ECM. The voltage is used to supply power to the throttle position sensor, accelerator pedal position sensor, etc.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Check that the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) lights up when turning the ignition switch ON.
- OK:
- MIL lights up
2.CHECK CONNECTION BETWEEN INTELLIGENT TESTER AND ECM |
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch ON and turn the intelligent tester ON.
Check the connection between the intelligent tester and ECM.

3.INSPECT ECM (VC VOLTAGE) |
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Measure the voltage of the ECM connector.
- Standard voltage:

4.CHECK MIL (THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR) |
Disconnect the T1 throttle body connector.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Check the MIL.

5.CHECK MIL (ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR) |
Disconnect the A22 accelerator pedal position sensor connector.
Turn the ignition switch ON.

Disconnect the V6 variable resistor connector.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Check the MIL.

7.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BODY GROUND) |
Disconnect the T1 throttle body connector.
Disconnect the A22 accelerator pedal position sensor connector.
Disconnect the V6 variable resistor connector (only for leaded gasoline specification vehicle).
Disconnect the E8 and E11 ECM connectors.
Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
- Standard resistance:
