Knock Sensor Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD

  4. REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR

Knock Sensor -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the engine (Toyota Fortuner RM000000YMH003X.html).



3. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD

  1. Remove the cylinder head (Toyota Fortuner RM000000YML003X.html).



4. REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.1Gr-Fe Engine Control System.Knock Sensor.Knock Sensor Removal

  1. Disconnect the sensor connector.

  1. Remove the bolt and sensor.
