RELAY (for Windshield Deicer) - ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. REMOVE DEICER RELAY

Remove the deicer relay from the engine room relay block.

2. INSPECT DEICER RELAY

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  • Standard Resistance:
  • Tester ConnectionConditionSpecified Condition
    3 - 5Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 210 kΩ or higher
    3 - 5Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.


3. INSTALL DEICER RELAY

Install the deicer relay to the engine room relay block.
