DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH AND LH
REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH
REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH
REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ANCHOR
REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ANCHOR RH
REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Sunshade)
REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY
Rear Seat Outer Belt Assembly -- Removal |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the RH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (Click here).
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY |
Detach the seat cushion's 2 front hooks from the vehicle body.
- NOTICE:
- Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame deforms easily.
Choose a hook to detach first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the seat cushion to detach the hook.
Repeat for the other hook.
Detach the seat cushion's 2 rear hooks from the seatback.
Remove the seat cushion.
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH AND LH |
4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY |
Using a screwdriver, detach the claws and remove the 2 rear seat covers.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Using a screwdriver, detach the claw to open the cap of the 3 rear seat shoulder belt guides.
Remove the bolt and floor anchor part.
Remove the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.
Remove the seatback.
5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE |
Detach the 5 claws and remove the scuff plate.
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH |
Using a moulding remover, pull the garnish in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 5 claws. Then remove the garnish.
7. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH |
Detach the 4 clips.
Pull the garnish in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 2 claws. Then remove the garnish.
8. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ANCHOR |
Remove the bolt and anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly.
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ANCHOR RH |
Disconnect the connector labeled A.
Remove the bolt and seat belt labeled B.
10. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Sunshade) |
Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the belt guide LH.
- HINT:
- Use the same procedures described for the RH side.
Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the belt guide center.
Detach the clip and remove the panel.
11. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY |
Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the guide part of the rear seat outer belt assembly.
Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the guide part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH.
Detach the clip and 5 claws.
Disconnect the connector and remove the package tray trim panel.
12. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY |
Disconnect the pretensioner connector, as shown in the illustration.
Disconnect the tension reducer connector.
Remove the 2 bolts and seat belt.
