INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR

PERFORM TEST MODE (SIGNAL CHECK)

READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DECELERATION SENSOR / YAW RATE SENSOR)

DTC C1336 Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone


DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate sensor assembly via the CAN communication system.
The yaw rate sensor assembly has a built-in acceleration sensor.
If there is trouble in the bus lines between the yaw rate sensor assembly and the CAN communication system, DTCs U0123 (Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module) and U0124 (Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) are stored.
DTC C1210 and C1336 are also stored when calibration has not been completed.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
After replacing the brake actuator assembly and/or yaw rate sensor assembly, perform calibration (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000XHR073X.html).
HINT:
When DTC U0123 and/or U0124 is output along with DTC C1210 and/or C1336, inspect and repair trouble areas indicated by DTC U0123 and/or U0124 first (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000YUO0ECX.html).
1.PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR
  1. Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000XHR073X.html).

2.PERFORM TEST MODE (SIGNAL CHECK)
  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Perform the sensor check in the Test Mode procedure (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000XHT091X.html).

    OK:
    All Test Mode DTCs are cleared.
HINT:
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next suspected area (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000XHN0BLX.html).

3.CHECK YAW RATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Check that the yaw rate sensor assembly is installed properly (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000SS204AX.html).

    OK:
    The sensor is tightened to the specified torque.
    The sensor is not installed at an angle.

4.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DECELERATION SENSOR / YAW RATE SENSOR)
  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.

  1. Check the yaw rate and acceleration sensor output value displayed on the intelligent tester.

    OK:
    The yaw rate and acceleration sensor output value is normal.
