DTC B1625/22 Front Passenger Side - Side Airbag Sensor Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The side airbag sensor (passenger side) consists of the safing sensor, the diagnostic circuit, the lateral deceleration sensor, etc.
If the center airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the lateral deceleration sensor, it determines whether the SRS should be activated.
DTC B1625/22 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the front passenger side - side airbag sensor circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK DTC


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40.Supplemental Restraint System.Airbag System. Dtc B1625/22 Front Passenger Side - Side Airbag Sensor Malfunction

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

  1. Clear the DTCs stored in the memory (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000000XFE0BNX.html).

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

  1. Check the DTCs (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000000XFE0BNX.html).

    OK:
    DTC B1625/22 is not output.
    HINT:
    Codes other than DTC B1625/22 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

2.CHECK SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR (PASSENGER SIDE)


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40.Supplemental Restraint System.Airbag System. Dtc B1625/22 Front Passenger Side - Side Airbag Sensor Malfunction

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

  1. Connect the connectors to the center airbag sensor assembly.

  1. Interchange the side airbag sensor (driver side) with side airbag sensor (passenger side) and connect the connectors to them.

  1. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

  1. Clear the DTCs stored in the memory (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000000XFE0BNX.html).

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

  1. Check the DTCs (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000000XFE0BNX.html).

3.CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40.Supplemental Restraint System.Airbag System. Dtc B1625/22 Front Passenger Side - Side Airbag Sensor Malfunction

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

  1. Return the side airbag sensor (passenger side) and side airbag sensor (driver side) to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.

  1. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

  1. Clear the DTCs stored in the memory (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000000XFE0BNX.html).

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

  1. Check the DTCs (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000000XFE0BNX.html).

    OK:
    DTC B1625/22 is not output.
    HINT:
    Codes other than DTC B1625/22 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.
