DTC B1501 Sub Fuel Sender Open Detected


DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the combination meter detects a fuel sender gauge malfunction.

Both conditions are met:
  1. The voltage at the IG power supply terminal of the combination meter assembly is between 9.5 and 11.5 V.
  2. Average input signal of fuel sender gauge is 630 Ω or more 3 times consecutively.

  4. Fuel sender gauge assembly
HINT:
Trouble code B1501 is only stored in vehicles equipped with a double tank.

1.READ VALUE USING GTS (FUEL INPUT)

  1. Using the GTS, read the Data List (LandCruiser RM0000012G70JTX.html).

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL GAUGE CIRCUIT)

  1. Disconnect the G6 combination meter assembly connector.

  1. Disconnect the t1 fuel tank vent tube assembly connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
