DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the parking assist ECU judges as a result of its self check that the signals or signal lines between the parking assist ECU and the rear television camera assembly are not normal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. When "System initializing" is displayed on the parking assist ECU after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point (LandCruiser RM0000035DE05TX.html).
  2. Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed (LandCruiser RM0000035DD06LX.html).
1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)
  1. Disconnect the I7 parking assist ECU connector.

  1. Disconnect the X9*1 or v2*2 rear television camera assembly connector.

    1. *1: w/ Tire Carrier
    2. *2: w/o Tire Carrier
  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  1. Check the waveform of the rear television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.

    HINT:
    1. A waterproof connector is used for the rear television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the navigation receiver assembly*1 or radio and display receiver assembly*2 with the connector connected.
      1. *1: for Navigation Receiver Type
      2. *2: for Radio and Display Type
    2. The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the rear television camera assembly.
