Front Differential Carrier Assembly -- Removal |
| 1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER |
| 2. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER |
| 3. DRAIN DIFFERENTIAL OIL |
Stop the vehicle on a level surface.
Remove the differential filler plug and gasket.
Remove the drain plug and gasket, and drain the oil.
Install a new gasket and the drain plug.
- Torque:
- for front differential:
- 65 N*m{660 kgf*cm, 48 ft.*lbf}
- for rear differential:
- 49 N*m{500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf}

| 6. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
| 7. REMOVE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY |
Remove the bolt and disconnect the differential breather tube bracket.
Support the differential with a jack.
Remove the No. 1 differential mounting nut.

Remove the 2 mounting bolts and 2 nuts.
Lower the jack and remove the front differential.
Remove the 3 bolts and front No. 1 differential support.

Remove the 2 mount stoppers from the differential support.
Remove the 2 bolts and front No. 2 differential support.
 |
Remove the 2 mount stoppers from the differential support.
Remove the 2 bolts and front No. 3 differential support.
