Vacuum Switching Valve Inspection

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
1 - 2	20°C (68°F)	37 to 44 Ω
1 - Body ground 2 - Body ground	20°C (68°F)	1 MΩ or higher

Check the operation of the vacuum switching valve.

1. Attach a vacuum pump to port E and check that air does not flow from the filter to port E.

2. Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2.

3. Attach a vacuum pump to port E and check that air flows from the filter to port E.
   If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve.
