Measure the resistance between the terminals.

Vvt Sensor - Installation
Install the sensor with the bolt.
Vvt Sensor - Removal
Raise the V-bank cover to disengage the clip on the rear of the cover. Raise the cover again to disengage the 2 clips on the front of the cover and remove the cover.
Vvt Sensor - On-Vehicle Inspection
Turn the engine switch on (IG).

Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly - Installation
Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly - Inspection
Measure the resistance between the terminals.
- Standard resistance:
- 6.9 to 7.9 Ω at 20°C (68°F)
If the result is not as specified, replace the oil control valve.
