Dtc P1258 Vnt Position Sensor Range/Performance Bank 2 Sensor 1
The variable nozzle vane type turbocharger consists primarily of a compressor wheel, turbine wheel, nozzle vane, unison ring, DC motor and nozzle vane position sensor.
The turbocharger has a nozzle vane which opens and closes to control the volume of the exhaust gas flowing into the turbine. This, in turn, controls the boost pressure. When the nozzle vane moves towards the closing direction, the pressure increases. When the vane moves towards the opening direction, the pressure decreases.
Soon after the EDU receives a fuel injection command (IJT) signal from the ECM, the EDU responds to the command with an injector injection confirmation (IJF) signal when the current is applied to the fuel injector.
