DTC P0095 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit DTC P0097 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit Low DTC P0098 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit High
DTC P0093 can be detected if the problem occurs when the engine idles for 1 minute and then it runs at 2,500 rpm for 30 seconds. If DTC P1229 is set, P0093 (fuel leaks in high-pressure areas) may be set simultaneously. This may be due to the extremely high internal fuel pressure in the common rail causing the pressure limiter to open. The ECM may interpret this as a fault and set P0093
To detect atmospheric pressure, the atmospheric pressure sensor built into the ECM is used in the common rail system. Following the changes in the atmospheric pressure, the ECM corrects the fuel injection volume, timing and duration, and adjusts the common rail internal fuel pressure for optimizing combustion.
HINT: Parameters listed in the chart may be different from your readings depending on the type of instruments and other factors. If any DTCs are displayed during a check mode, check the circuit for the DTCs listed in the chart below. For details of each DTC, refer to the page indicated.
HINT: Using the intelligent tester's Data List allows switch, sensor, actuator, and other item values to be read without removing any parts. Reading the Data List early in troubleshooting is one way to save time.
