Front Power Seat Motor Assembly (For Reclining) Removal


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH WITH FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH

  6. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

  7. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 SEATBACK CLOTH

  9. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)

  10. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

  11. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  12. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)

  13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

Front Power Seat Motor Assembly (For Reclining) -- Removal


CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.


1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the front seat assembly (Toyota Fortuner RM000003NZX00FX.html).



2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Apply protective tape around the cushion shield.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the knob.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the knob.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH WITH FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Remove the 3 screws.

  1. Detach the claw and guide.

  1. Remove the cushion shield.



5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Pull the cushion inner shield to detach the claw and guide.

  1. Pull the cushion inner shield to detach the claw and remove the cushion inner shield.



6. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

  1. Remove the hog rings from the wires of the seatback cover. Then roll up the seatback cover.

  1. Remove the hog rings and roll up the seatback cloth.

  1. Remove the hog rings and detach the strap of the seatback cover. Then roll up the seatback cover.

  1. Remove the hog rings from the center of the seatback pad and roll up the seatback cover.

  1. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
    Remove the nut and detach the seatback cover bracket.

  1. Remove the hog rings from the upper part of the seatback pad. Then roll up the seatback cover.

  1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

  1. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover.



7. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD

  1. Remove the seatback pad.



8. REMOVE NO. 1 SEATBACK CLOTH


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Remove the seatback cloth.



9. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Detach the claw and remove the cover.



10. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Detach the guide and remove the cover.



11. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Detach the guide and remove the cover.



12. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Detach the 8 hooks and remove the seatback spring.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Detach the 6 claws and remove the push nut from the reclining rod.

  1. Remove the reclining rod.

  1. Using a 4 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 3 bolts and motor.



13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Detach the claw and disconnect the connector.

  1. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and front seatback.
