DESCRIPTION

DTC C1282/82 can be cleared when the center differential lock position switch (transfer indicator switch No. 3) sends a center differential lock position switch (transfer indicator switch No. 3) signal or the test mode ends.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (Toyota Fortuner RM000000XHR02TX.html).
1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - CENTER DIFFERENTIAL LOCK POSITION SWITCH)

Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.Brake Control.Vehicle Stability Control System. Dtc C1282/82 Center Differential Lock Position Switch Malfunction (Test Mode Dtc)

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.

  1. Disconnect the center differential lock position switch.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    S25-20 (EXI) - T4-2
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    S25-20 (EXI) - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher
    T4-1 - Body ground
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω

2.INSPECT CENTER DIFFERENTIAL LOCK POSITION SWITCH (TRANSFER INDICATOR SWITCH NO. 3)

  1. Remove the center differential lock position switch.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection

    1 - 2
    		Free
    		10 kΩ or higher

3.INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Connect the center differential lock position switch connector.

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    		Switch Condition
    		Specified Condition
    S25-20 (EXI) - Body ground
    		Ignition switch ON
    		8 to 14 V
