Starter Disassembly

Remove the screw and terminal 50 wire.

Remove the nut and disconnect the terminal C wire.

Remove the 2 screws and O-rings, and pull out the starter yoke assembly with the armature assembly.

Remove the 2 screws and magnet starter switch.

Remove the return spring.

Remove the following parts from the starter housing.

Using a magnetic finger, remove the steel ball.

Using a screwdriver, hold the spring back and disconnect the brush.

Disconnect the 4 brushes and remove the brush holder.

Using a plastic-faced hammer, tap the end of the starter yoke and remove the armature.
