Front Shock Absorber With Coil Spring Removal


  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  2. DISCONNECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

  3. DISCONNECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

  4. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET

  5. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR

  6. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING

Front Shock Absorber With Coil Spring -- Removal



1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL


2. DISCONNECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the nut and disconnect the stabilizer link from the steering knuckle.

    HINT:
    If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud in place.


3. DISCONNECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.


4. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET
  1. Remove the front stabilizer bracket (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010OY002X.html).



5. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR
  1. Remove the front stabilizer bar (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010OY002X.html).



6. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING

  1. Remove the nut and bolt.

    HINT:
    While fixing the nut in place, loosen and remove the bolt.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts and shock absorber with coil spring.
