| 2. REMOVE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY |
Remove the propeller shaft (Toyota Fortuner RM000000ZZ3008X.html).
| 3. REMOVE REAR AXLE HOUSING FILLER PLUG |
Remove the filler plug.
| 4. REMOVE REAR AXLE HOUSING DRAIN PLUG |
Remove the drain plug.
| 5. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
Remove the brake drum (Toyota Fortuner RM000001HJX005X.html).
| 6. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH |
Remove the brake drum (Toyota Fortuner RM000001HJX005X.html).
| 7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING LH |
Remove the return spring (Toyota Fortuner RM000001HJX005X.html).
| 8. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING RH |
Remove the return spring (Toyota Fortuner RM000001HJX005X.html).
| 9. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LH |
Remove the parking brake shoe (Toyota Fortuner RM000001HJX005X.html).
| 10. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE RH |
Remove the parking brake shoe (Toyota Fortuner RM000001HJX005X.html).
| 11. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR LH |
Remove the speed sensor (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010JT003X.html).
| 12. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR RH |
Remove the speed sensor (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010JT003X.html).
| 13. DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE |
Disconnect the parking brake cable (Toyota Fortuner RM000001HKF001X.html).
| 14. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT WITH BACKING PLATE LH |
Remove the rear axle shaft with backing plate (Toyota Fortuner RM000000ZZV002X_02_0007.html).
| 15. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT WITH BACKING PLATE RH |
Remove the rear axle shaft with backing plate (Toyota Fortuner RM000000ZZV002X_02_0007.html).
| 16. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT OIL SEAL LH |
| 17. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT OIL SEAL RH |
| 18. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY |

Remove the 10 nuts and differential carrier.

- Be careful not to damage the contact surface.
