Exhaust Manifold -- Removal |
| 1. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER |
Hold the rear of the cover and raise it to detach the 2 clips on the rear of the cover. Continue to raise the cover to detach the 2 clips on the front of the cover and remove the cover.
- NOTICE:
- Attempting to detach both front and rear clips at the same time may cause the cover to break.

| 2. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR |
Disconnect the sensor connector and clamp.
 |
Using SST, remove the sensor from the exhaust manifold.

- NOTICE:
- Do not damage the sensor.
 |
| 3. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET |
 |
Detach the clamp and disconnect the fuel hose.
Remove the bolt and bracket.
| 4. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR |
Remove the 3 bolts and heat insulator.
 |
| 5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the center exhaust pipe.
 |
Remove the gasket from the exhaust pipe.
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 compression springs and front exhaust pipe.
 |
| 6. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY |
Remove the 3 bolts and manifold stay.
 |
| 7. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD |
Remove the 5 nuts and exhaust manifold.
 |
Remove the exhaust manifold gasket.
| 8. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR |
Remove the 3 bolts and heat insulator.
