DTC C1626 Steering Angle Sensor Failure


DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the rear television camera assembly receives a signal via CAN communication from the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly that indicates an internal malfunction.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. If the cable was disconnected from and reconnected to the negative (-) battery terminal, the estimated course lines may not be displayed on the image of the area behind the vehicle. In this case, perform "Correct the Steering Angle Neutral Point" (LandCruiser RM0000035DE05YX.html).
  2. Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed (LandCruiser RM0000035DD06QX.html).
  3. The vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) which includes components such as airbags. Before servicing (including removal or installation of parts), be sure to read the precaution for Supplemental Restraint System (LandCruiser RM000000KT10NVX.html).
1.REPLACE SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Replace the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly with a new or known good one (LandCruiser RM000002O8X02DX.html).

2.CHECK DTC OUTPUT

  1. Clear the DTCs (LandCruiser RM0000035DB07IX.html).

  1. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output (LandCruiser RM0000035DB07IX.html).
