INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

1. The vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) which includes components such as airbags. Before servicing (including removal or installation of parts), be sure to read the precaution for Supplemental Restraint System (LandCruiser RM000000KT10NVX.html).
   
2. Inspect the fuse or relay for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
   

1. Check if the illumination for the radio receiver assembly, steering pad switch assembly or others (hazard switch etc.) comes on when the headlight dimmer switch is turned to the head or tail position.
   

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   Illumination comes on for all components except steering pad switch assembly.	A
   Illumination comes on for all components except radio receiver assembly.	B
   No illumination comes on (radio receiver assembly, steering pad switch, hazard switch, heater control switch, etc.).	C

1. Disconnect the spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
   

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Voltage:

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   G40-12 (IL+2) - Body ground	Light control switch in the tail or head position	11 to 14 V

1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly (LandCruiser RM000003C4V01IX.html).
   

2. Inspect the steering pad switch assembly (LandCruiser RM0000039SA01YX.html).
   

1. Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly (LandCruiser RM000002O8X02DX.html).
   

2. Inspect the spiral cable sub-assembly (LandCruiser RM000002O8V03FX.html).
   

1. Disconnect the H46 and H47 radio receiver assembly connectors.
   

2. Disconnect the G40 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
   

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   H47-23 (SWG) - G40-4 (EAU)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   H46-7 (GND1) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   H47-23 (SWG) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

1. Disconnect the G40 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
   

2. Disconnect the G76*1 or G163*2 driving support switch control ECU connector.
   

   1. *1: for Manual Transmission
      
   2. *2: for Automatic Transmission
      

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

   for Manual Transmission

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G40-10 (GND1) - G76-4 (SWI2)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G76-16 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G76-4 (SWI2) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Standard Resistance:

   for Automatic Transmission

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G40-10 (GND1) - G163-14 (SWI2)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G163-7 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G163-14 (SWI2) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

1. Disconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.
   

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   H46-7 (GND1) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Voltage:

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   H46-10 (ILL+) - Body ground	Light control switch in the tail or head position	11 to 14 V
