- Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
1.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (OPERATE C/OPN RELAY) |
Connect an intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the tester on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Fuel Pump/Speed.
Check whether the fuel pump operation sound occurs when performing the Active Test on the tester.
- OK:
- Fuel pump operating sound occurs.

2.INSPECT RELAY (F-PMP/FFV) |
Inspect the F-PMP/FFV relay (HILUX_TGN26 RM000003BLB02FX_01_0017.html).

3.INSPECT FUEL PUMP RESISTOR (RESISTANCE) |
Inspect the fuel pump resistor (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000015PP00LX.html).

4.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL PUMP RESISTOR - F-PMP/FFV RELAY, FUEL PUMP) |
Disconnect the fuel pump resistor connector.
Remove the F-PMP/FFV relay from the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.
Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F-PMP/FFV relay terminal 5 - A76-1 Always Below 1 Ω A76-2 - L4-4 Always Below 1 Ω F-PMP/FFV relay terminal 5 or A76-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher A76-2 or L4-4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

Inspect the C/OPN relay (HILUX_TGN26 RM000003BLB02FX_01_0018.html).

Remove the No.1 integration relay from the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.
Disconnect the ECM connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1J-7 - G155-10 (FC) Always Below 1 Ω 1J-7 or G155-10 (FC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L4-4 - F-PMP/FFV relay terminal 4 Always Below 1 Ω L4-5 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω L4-4 or F-PMP/FFV relay terminal 4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
