INSPECT REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

DESCRIPTION

When the vehicle has a built-in type amplifier, the sound signals are sent from the navigation receiver assembly to the speakers via this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

Disconnect the E1 navigation receiver assembly connector.

Disconnect the E2 navigation receiver assembly connector.

Disconnect the I1 and H1 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

Disconnect the I4 and H4 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

Disconnect the L2 and L1 rear speaker assembly connectors.

Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 2 speaker assemblies and the navigation receiver assembly to check for an open circuit in the wire harness.

4.REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

Check that the malfunction disappears when another speaker in good condition is installed (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000002XAP016X.html).
OK:
Malfunction disappears.
HINT:
1. Connect all the connectors to the front No. 2 speaker assembly.
2. If there is a possibility that either the right or left front speaker is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.
3. Perform the above inspection on both LH and RH sides.
