Rear Door -- Disassembly |
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
2. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window) |
Using a clip remover, remove the snap ring.

Remove the rear door window regulator handle assembly and rear door regulator inside handle plate.
3. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL |
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws and remove the rear door inside handle bezel.

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL (w/o Power Window) |
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 7 claws, and remove the rear door armrest upper base panel.

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL (w/ Power Window) |
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 7 claws.

Disconnect the connector and remove the rear door armrest upper base panel.
6. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window) |
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly.

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and disconnect the door armrest cap.

Remove the 2 screws.

Using a clip remover, disengage the 8 clips.

Disengage the 4 claws and separate the rear door trim board sub-assembly from the rear door inner glass weatherstrip.
Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the rear door inside handle sub-assembly.

8. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Disconnect the rear door lock remote control cable and rear door inside locking cable, and remove the rear door inside handle sub-assembly.

9. REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP |
Remove the rear door inner glass weatherstrip from the rear door panel.

10. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BRACKET |
Remove the 2 screws and the rear door trim bracket.

11. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER |
w/ Power door lock:
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the rear door service hole cover.
- HINT:
- Remove any remaining butyl tape from the door.

12. REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 3 bolts and the rear door check assembly.

13. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP |
Using a clip remover, disengage the 15 clips and remove the rear door weatherstrip.

14. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN |
Remove the rear door glass run.

15. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH |
Disengage the clip and remove the rear door frame garnish.
- HINT:
- This garnish needs to be replaced with a new one because the clip will break when removing the rear door frame garnish.

16. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 bolts, screw, and the rear door window division bar sub-assembly.

17. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS |
Remove the rear door quarter window glass and the rear door quarter window weatherstrip as a unit as shown in the illustration.

Remove the rear door quarter window glass from the rear door quarter window weatherstrip.
18. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly from the rear door window regulator sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
- Do not damage the door glass.

Remove the 3 bolts and the rear door window regulator assembly.

Disconnect the connector.

Loosen the temporary bolt.
- NOTICE:
- Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the rear door window regulator may fall and cause damage.
Remove the 3 bolts.
Remove the rear door window regulator sub-assembly and the rear power window regulator motor assembly as a unit.
Remove the temporary bolt from the rear door window regulator sub-assembly.
21. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window) |
Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1, and a negative (-) lead to terminal 2 of the rear power window regulator motor assembly to move the lift arm to the position shown in the illustration.

Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T25), remove the 3 screws and the rear power window regulator motor assembly.

22. REMOVE SEPARATOR DOOR NO. 2 STIFFENER CUSHION |
Remove the bolt.

Disengage the guide and remove the separator door No. 2 stiffener cushion.
23. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Door Lock) |
Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), remove the 3 screws.

Move the rear door lock assembly downward and pull the release plate out of the rear door outside handle frame.

Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), remove the 3 screws.

Move the rear door lock assembly downward and pull the release plate out of the rear door outside handle frame.
Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the rear door lock assembly.

- HINT:
- The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

30. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY |
Pull and hold the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
- The release plate may interfere with the rear door outside handle assembly and may be damaged when removing the rear door outside handle assembly, unless the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly is pulled and held.

Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), remove the screw.

34. REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY |
Put protective tape around the front door belt moulding assembly.

Using a screwdriver with its tip taped, disengage the 6 claws from the inside of the rear door.
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and remove the rear door belt moulding assembly.
