Seat Position Sensor -- Removal |
| 1. PRECAUTION |

| 2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat) |
Remove the front seat assembly (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000Z8U0APX.html).
| 3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) |
Remove the front seat assembly (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000AR902OX.html).
| 4. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE (for Manual Seat) |
Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

| 5. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB CAP (for Manual Seat) |
Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the vertical seat adjuster knob cap.
 |
| 6. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Manual Seat) |
Remove the 2 screws and the vertical adjusting handle.
 |
| 7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Manual Seat) |
Remove the 3 screws.
 |
Disengage the claw.
Disengage the 2 guides and remove the front seat cushion shield.
| 8. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Manual Seat) |
Disconnect the connector.
 |
Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), remove the "TORX" screw and seat position sensor with the seat slide position sensor protector.
Remove the seat position sensor from the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.

| 9. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Power Seat) |
Disconnect the connector.
 |
Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), remove the "TORX" screw and seat position sensor with the seat slide position sensor protector.
Remove the seat position sensor from the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.
