Park / Neutral Position Switch -- Installation |
| 1. INSTALL PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY |

Install the switch to the manual valve shaft.
Temporarily install the 2 bolts.
Install a new lock washer and tighten the manual valve shaft nut.

Temporarily install the control shaft lever.
Turn the lever counterclockwise until it stops, and then turn it clockwise 2 notches.

Remove the control shaft lever.
Align the groove with neutral basic line.
 |
Hold the switch in this position and tighten the 2 bolts.

Using a screwdriver, stake the nut with the lock washer.

Install the control shaft lever with the washer and nut.

Connect the shift control cable to the control shaft lever with the nut.

- 15 Н*м{153 кгс*см, 11 фунт-сила-футов}
Connect the switch connector.
| 2. INSTALL BATTERY |
Install the battery bracket reinforcement with the 2 bolts.
- Момент затяжки:
- 20 Н*м{204 кгс*см, 15 фунт-сила-футов}
Install the battery carrier with the 4 bolts.
- Момент затяжки:
- 20 Н*м{204 кгс*см, 15 фунт-сила-футов}
Install the battery tray.
Install the battery with the battery clamp.
- Момент затяжки:
- 8.5 Н*м{87 кгс*см, 75 фунт-сила-дюймов} for bolt
- 5.0 Н*м{51 кгс*см, 44 фунт-сила-дюймов} for nut
| 3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
| 4. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION |
Adjust the shift lever position (see page RAV4_ACA30 RM000001SUE000X.html).
| 5. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY |
