1. CHECK FUEL PRESSURE |
Read the DATA LIST.
Warm up the engine.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
Turn the intelligent tester ON.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List.
Read the Data List.
Intelligent Tester Display Measurement Item/Range (Display) Normal Conditions Fuel Press Fuel pressure/ Min.: 0 MPa, Max.: 256 MPa 37 to 43 MPa: Idling Target Common Rail Pressure Target common rail pressure/ Min.: 0 MPa, Max.: 256 MPa 20 to 180 MPa

2. CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS |
Perform the ACTIVE TEST.
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
Turn the intelligent tester ON.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test.
Perform the Active Test.
Intelligent Tester Display Test Details Control Range Diagnostic Notes Test the Fuel Leak Pressurizing common rail internal fuel pressure, and checking for fuel leaks Stop/Start - Fuel pressure inside common rail pressurized to specified value and engine speed increased to 2,000 rpm when Start is selected
- Above conditions to be maintained while test is Start
- Fuel pressure inside common rail pressurized to specified value and engine speed increased to 2,000 rpm when Start is selected

3. BLEED AIR FROM FUEL SYSTEM |
Using the hand pump indicated by the arrows in the illustration, bleed the fuel system. Continue pumping until pumping becomes difficult.

4. CHECK FUEL FILTER WARNING LIGHT AND DRAIN WATER |
Check the fuel filter warning light.
- ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ:
- When the fuel filter warning light illuminates and the buzzer sounds, the water in the fuel filter must be drained immediately.

Remove the drain plug and place a small tray to catch the water.

Operate the hand pump until only fuel begins to run out.
After draining, retighten the drain plug.

- Do not use any tools.
